2017 TxOLAN Spectacular

Once again TxOLAN Alpaca Association put on a great show at the Will Rogers Complex in Ft. Worth, Texas. It was great to meet new friends and see old friends and mentors.

We brought 4 of our males to the show and all took home ribbons.

Xanadu P Descant, our two year old brown male took 1st in his class, that makes 7 blue ribbons and 4 championships for Descant, we are certain he is getting tired of the show ring and ready to move on to the breeding pen.

El Guapo brought home a second place in a very competitive light class, this is the second consecutive show he has come in 2nd to the four time color champion Alchemist. We are all anxiously awaiting Alchemists 2nd birthday.

Houdini's Stunner and Azlan of Legend took 3rd and 4th in a very competitive class of 11 white juvenile males. This was Stunner's first show as he was 6 months and 7 days old on the day he made his first appearance in the show ring. We look forward to Stunner and Azlan maturing and were encouraged by the comments of Judge Amanda VandenBosch.

We entered into a purchase agreement to acquire Xanadu P Cashel, a ten month old white female from Xanadu Farm Alpacas. Cashel went on to win 1st in Bred and Owned as well as the Championship, of course we will show her in halter but look forward to her winning more championships and then championship offspring to Flying Iron Ranch.

So, they are all on their way back to Colorado and preparing for the AOA National Show held in Denver on March 17th.

Until next time
